The Ekiden is a relay race in a team of 6 to run a marathon (42.195 kilometers or 26.2 mile). Each team commits to raising 1000 euros of donations for MSF before the race.
Of Japanese origin, the Ekiden is inspired by the old Japanese postal system. The Ekiden has become popular in recent years as a novel team activity, perfect for team building or a family weekend outing. Each runner has a distance to run: 5K, 10K, 5K, 10K, 7.195K.

The Ekiden registration fee is 250 euros per team, payable once by the entire team or by the team captain.
The 2021 event is on Saturday, 16 October in Brussels.
